Joe has over 20 years' experience in the Recycling sector and has held key commercial roles with some of the UK leading companies including Cleanaway, Pennon Group and BT.
In 2011 Ellgia Recycling was formed by Managing Director Steve Crook, Foreman driver Pete Drage and Sales Director Joe Hemsley-Rudd and it has grown into one of the regions largest commercial recycling and waste management business.
Ellgia Recycling was named the National Independent Operator of the year at MRW National Recycling awards and was named in the prestigious Top 100 Companies in Cambridge in 2018.

Marshall of Cambridge (Holdings) Ltd is the private holding company of the Marshall family. Headquartered on an 900 acre site in Cambridge, Marshall operates in four market segments, including through three wholly-owned businesses: Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, Marshall Group Property, Marshall Fleet Solutions. Marshall is also the majority shareholder in the following independent public company: Marshall Motor Holdings Plc.
Christopher Walthemshaw joined Marshall of Cambridge (Holdings) Limited in 1983 and has been a director since 1999. He has worked in all of the principal Marshall businesses, including Marshall Aerospace, Marshall Land Systems and, from 1994 to 2011, Marshall Motor Holdings. Christopher joined the senior team in Marshall of Cambridge (Holdings) Ltd in 2011 and has responsibility for external relations and communications.
Christopher is Chairman of The Air League Trust, a member of the Air Cadet Council and of the National Employer’s Advisory Board for the MOD. He is a Trustee of the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, a Member of Anglian Learning and a director of the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce. Christopher was appointed to the Board on 12 July 2016 as a nominated director of Marshall of Cambridge (Holdings) Limited.

Guest Speaker: Claire Somerville, Chief Executive at Babylon ARTS (operated by ADEC)
Claire re-joined Babylon ARTS (operated by ADEC) in August 2018, having previously delivered projects for the organisation between 2004 and 2006. Claire has been working in the arts for over 15 years, most recently as Head of Children and Young People's Dance at One Dance UK. Claire also chaired the Creative Royston committee for two years, a voluntary arts organisation that delivers an annual town-wide arts festival. In this new role at Babylon ARTS, Claire oversees operations and works with the team to achieve its ambitions as a charity committed to inspiring, developing and delivering quality arts events and activities to engage communities across rural Cambridgeshire and beyond.
